I was happy to work on my stilt walk-overs the other day, (thx to Alex for being our spotter).  I need to work on walk-overs in general, on and off stilts.

Go to Wonderland…

Co-founder of Wise Fool, one of my circus teachers and friends, Amy Christian gives her TEDx talk on how outdoor theater ignites social change and crosses all borders- regardless of whether they’re on a map or in our minds.

Tokyo Sky Tree: Up Close & Personal

While we didn’t arrive very late in the day, Knight and I’s admission time was too late in the afternoon for us to actually go up the tower, (it was the day of our departure). A super nice elderly gentleman took my phone away from me (haha) because he knew a trick to getting the whole tower in a photo and wanted to take one with both of us in it.

And that concludes all my “SoftBank Snapshots” from the trip.  120 mm film photos will be forthcoming in the near(ish) future!

Tokyo PART DEUX: More From Asakusa

The Sky Tree, turned on and turned off (see those floating lights?), Pon de lion- the a mascot of the Mister Donut shop, a restaurant where you order and pay via a touchscreen then take a ticket inside to the cook, and the Sky Tree shrouded in crazy thick fog!

KAMEN RIDER Diner: Suits & Scenes

The infamous Daishocker Throne, Rider 1 & 2’s suits from one of their movies, and a lot of figures that can be found in some hilarious poses.

Kamen Rider Diner: Delicious!

I got a METEOR READY? soda (the waiter told me the glowing part was the “cosmic power” hehe, and it changed colors!), Knight’s Cosmic Energy Caramel drink, complete with tiiiny pretzel Fourze antennae, and my tasty Gouram Burger.

Part of the fun of ordering is when they come out to serve you.  They have a switchboard with all these KR sound bytes and they queue up the appropriate sound(s) for your table.  (Remember the Capcom Bar?  The same company runs both places, along with several other nerdy spots.)  Yes, Knight’s Fourze meal included some UCHUU KITAAAAA.

Ikebukuro: The KAMEN RIDER Diner

When you first enter you receive a loud, welcoming SHABADOOBIE TOUCH TO HENSHIN over the diner’s speaker system.  The whole diner is covered in glass cases full of figures, belts, and other collectibles, including a stand featuring every form Eiji has in OOO ever.  There are also screens all around, playing the different KR intros in chronological order (the same video was playing in Super Hero Land at Uzumasa Eigamura).
